Editorial standards
Oak and Main Developers LLC publishes this site. These are the rules the recipe pages are written to.
Recipes
Each recipe is written as a single, complete method for two people, with quantities that scale from the servings control. Time labels are editorial estimates. Active, cooking, resting, and total time are shown separately only when the recipe record has been individually verified.
Nutrition data
Where a recipe page shows nutrition figures, they come from USDA FoodData Central through a build-time portfolio ingredient dictionary (snapshot date shown on the recipe page). Only ingredients verified against FoodData Central carry numbers; anything not yet verified is labelled as such and never estimated. Per-serving totals are marked as estimates and are summed from metric quantities of verified ingredients only. No page load ever calls an external API for this data.
Wine pairings
Pairings are editorial suggestions chosen for the dish's acidity, fat and intensity. No affiliate or retailer link is active today. If a commercial relationship is introduced, the relevant page will identify it alongside the link. See the affiliate disclosure.
What we do not claim
Recipes are cooking guidance, not nutritional, allergy or food safety advice. The site does not claim certification, accreditation or any professional endorsement.
Corrections
If a quantity, timing or attribution is wrong, it gets fixed on the page rather than quietly rewritten elsewhere. A contact route for corrections is listed on the about page once the site owner has published one.
